science. it's what's for dinner

Alton Brown is my new favorite pop culture cooking hero. He's got this show on the food network called Good Eats where he explores the origins of ingredients, explaining the chemistry behind the food we eat. recipes, science, history, tools. plus a quirky sense of humour. i realize i'm probably a big fan of this guy just like thousands of charmed grandmas nationwide, but i don't care. realizing i had the food network has helped me discover my inner-iron chef. gotta go, my peanut butta drop cookies are nearly completed.
